Publishing with Kingsgrave: A Fairer Path for Writers

Kingsgrave has been set up by writers, for writers. We understand the challenges of getting published, and we also know how discouraging it can be to give away the control, rights, and majority of your earnings once you finally get a book into print.

That’s why Kingsgrave was launched; to give authors a fair, professional, and transparent route to publication.

How to Be Published by Kingsgrave

To get started, you’ll need three things:

  1. A manuscript – ideally, this should be professionally edited (we do not offer in-house editing). We can recommend editors if needed, and we don’t charge for putting you in contact with them.
  2. Cover art – a professionally designed cover by a human artist (we do not support AI-generated creative work). We can connect you with artists if you prefer, again at no cost.
  3. Funding for production – we will provide clear estimates from our preferred printing partner for printing costs based on the size and print run options most suited to your submission. We will also format your book, assign an ISBN and ISBN bar code, and get your book ready for publication. All costs involved are charged at cost price. Once your sales cover those costs, you will be reimbursed. Further sales generating a gross profit, will be passed to you as the author, with the exception of a modest percentage retained by us in order to cover necessary overheads and running costs.


Submissions

Please send submissions via email to admin@kingsgravepublishing.com with the following:

  • A clear subject line in your email stating ‘Submission – [Book Title]’.
  • A covering email including a synopsis and your book’s genre(s).
  • A short author biography (single paragraph).
  • A note on how you heard about us and why you’re submitting to Kingsgrave.
  • Attach your manuscript as a Word document. For the purposes of review, we ask the following:11/12pt, double-spaced, and page numbers. Prose should have indented paragraphs. For poetry, please start each poem with a title on a new page, and double the space between stanzas.
